Holy Week 2013
For Monday – Wednesday
Hymn of the Day from Rev. William Flewelling (© 2013, William Flewelling; All rights reserved)
On Exodus 12:1-4
In darkest wonder, won to change the fiercest night,
with earnest in the urgency God gives us,
we come: the bitter herbs are gathered for us,
the lamb is readied.
The chosen day, remembering the Passover,
we echo in our deepest strains the passion borne
in answering redemption’s pealing ecstasy.
We roast then our lamb.
To feast in haste, in readiness commanded,
here we gather to remember, joy to know:
once more the act of God is found at our hands.
Attend we this Lamb.
